Hi Dustin,
We will be doing the Bookmark Contest again this year, and thank you so much for thinking of us as you plan your curriculum for the year.
The Bookmark Contest will be starting sometime in October, and the deadline for submissions to arrive at a VPL branch is November 23rd, 2011. This year’s theme is “Science Fiction”.
All entries submitted this year will be showcased in the Moat Gallery at Central Branch from March 1st-31st, 2012. We will be sending posters, entry forms and information to all VSB secondary schools as soon as they are available. I will make sure that you get the same package of information personally.
There will be an opening gala in early March to honour all participants; members of the community, including teachers and artists, will also be invited to attend.
Please feel free to pass this information on to interested colleagues at your school and at other schools. And please keep an eye on these webpages for updates: http://www.vpl.ca/events/details/teen_bookmark_contest or http://teens.vpl.ca/.
Thank you again for thinking of the Bookmark Contest! I look forward to seeing all the wonderful entries from your class. And please feel free to contact us here at teens@vpl.ca if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Sasha
