Bring calendar pages so that we can continue study planning for mid-year exams.
Be sure you have finished the cell worksheet and that you’ve read the sections 4.1 and done Workbook 4.1

Ch. 8 test Wednesday, 13 Nov 2013. Work on Ch. 8 review in the textbook, and study for the test.

Answer the two questions on space exploration given in class, and study for the astronomy test.

Test postponed to 29 May for 1-4 and 30 May for 2-2.

Great job with presentations today!  Continue studying for final exam on ch. 1-9.

Astronomy test (ch. 11 and 12) will be on 28 May.

Please submit your digital presentation to me by supper time tomorrow, 22 May 2013, for 1-4 and by supper time tonight for 2-2.

 

Continue to work on the Safety and Chemistry review sheets.  Continue with your review for the final exam (chapters 1-9).  Use the textbook and workbook, as well as notes, in your studying.  Continue on the crossword puzzles to help you with the astronomy unit.

Astronomy Test will be on 27 May for 1-4 and 28 May for 2-2.

Reminder that your astronomy projects are due on 23 May (1-4) and 22 May (2-2).  Digital files or URL should be sent to me the day before the due date, in the early evening (6 or 7pm) so that we can be ready to go on the day of presentations.  Remember, you will present the project with all group members.  Presentations will be brief (1 minute or so) and all group members must speak.

Review chemistry section for earlier in the course as part of your studying for the final exam.

Review the notes on the Moodle site – Earth motions and More on the Moon.

Final exam review – please ensure that you have begun your review of earlier chapters for the final exam.  Chapters 1-9 will be covered.  You should have reviewed the Safety, Scientific Method, and Chemistry sections (Ch 1-3) .

Be sure you are working on the workbook sections for astronomy, Ch. 10-12.

Project is due on 21 May 2013 for period 1-4 and 22 May 2013 for period 2-2 – Your group will do a 1 minute presentation on the project in front of the class.  If your project is digital format (digital poster, powerpoint, etc) it must be submitted via email to my gmail, jsmartin@johnoliver.ca the day BEFORE the due date (20 May for 1-4 and 21 May for 2-2).
