Please begin reading chapter 10, if you haven’t already. Finish reading of parts IV and V of the eye colour case study, and attempt the questions for both parts. We will discuss next class. Continue to work on the crossword for review.

Finish the cloning questions:

  1. Is cloning/bio-engineering of organisms by humans ever okay? Give examples of when it is acceptable and when it is not.
  2. Is producing “golden rice” ethical (morally ‘right’ or ‘correct’)? Explain why or why not.
  3. Would bringing back the Tasmanian tiger via cloning be ethical? Why or why not? How would the ecosystem be affected if they were re-introduced?
