Fetal Pig Dissection – Part 1 questions:

  1. Measure pig (in cm) from rump (not including tail) to tip of snout. Hint: use a piece of string and then measure the string with a ruler). Record.
  2. Sketch pig on back of lab paper, in pencil, giving detail and labelling structures (no stick drawings or outline drawings… provide some detail, shading, etc).
  3. Using online research, determine the approximate gestational age of the fetal pig specimen, based on size and other features.
  4. Research and give an overview of porcine (pig) gestation, fetal development, typical litter size, etc.

Thursday, June 13 – 1.4 (8:40am – 11:35am) & 1.2 (12:20pm – 3:03pm)
Friday, June 14 – 2.4 (8:40am – 11:35am) & 2.2 (12:20pm – 3:03pm)
Monday, June 17 – 1.3 (8:40am – 11:35am) & 1.1 (12:20pm – 3:03pm)
Tuesday, June 18 – 2.3 (8:40am – 11:35am) & 2.1 (12:20pm – 3:03pm)
This will be our final exam schedule. Please bring other reading or school work with you, in case you finish the exam early. There will be no early dismissals from the exam session.
Please do not miss the final exam, as attendance is mandatory. 
Should any student miss the exam for a legitimate reason, please have parent call  and speak to Ms. Martin (604-713-8938) prior to the exam, and send a note with the student when they return to school, regarding the absence. Make-up exams are scheduled outside of school hours, and are not multiple choice exams.

Final Exam – during double block days – 13 – 18 June 2019. Included topics will be the 6 systems (digestive, circulatory, respiratory, excretory, nervous, reproductive), as well as safety and scientific method.
