Be sure you have completed pages 2-4 in the workbook. Know the function(s) and characteristics of the nucleus (4 – 5 points). Finish the cell structure handout.

Read p. 122 – 123 and write the function of the nucleus. Be sure you have completed all the previous homework. See previous blog posts.

Finish survey/graph and bring to class.

Read p. 116 – 126 in textbook, and read p. 2-3 in workbook. Do p. 4 in the workbook.

Bring the science review package to class. We will complete it next class.

The following was assigned on 20 September: Complete workbook pages xi – xiii (safety), and pages 2-3 (cells). Read textbook pages 116 – 124 (cells).

Safety/Scientific method quiz will be on 2 October. Prepare and study for it using the textbook, workbook, and notes.

Be sure to bring $10 deposit for the workbook, if you haven’t already.

Complete workbook pages vi – x (safety). We will go over this next class. Complete the two safety handouts given in class.

Read p. 10 – 12 in the textbook.

Read pages x – xvi in the front section of the text (Tour of the textbook). Read p. 494 – 495 (text as a tool) and page 8 – 9 (safety). Start crossword puzzle.

Read p. 462 in the textbook, safety information (Science Skill 1).  Do a quick sketch of each of the 16 symbols on the page, and give a brief description for each. The sketches do not need to be very detailed. Bring workbook, textbook, and $10 deposit for workbook to class.

Bring $10 for workbook.

Write a definition for CONTROL (see p. 464)

Finish safety story and underline broken rules.

Bring textbook to class.

Final exam will be on 14 June (Thursday) for 1-4 and and 19 June (Tuesday) for 2-3. Please study your notes and workbook. The exam will cover all sections we have studied since September: Biology, Chemistry, Electricity, Safety, Scientific method (Chapters 1-9).

You are permitted one 8.5″ X 11″ notes page, single sided. It must be hand-written by you, not photocopied or printed.
A calculator is recommended for the final exam.

Work on the exam study handout given in class. You can search the terms online or use it to test your knowledge.
