Finish the practice problems on p. 417 and check answers (Moodle). Also work on the additional problems on the moodle site. Ch. 9 test will be on 13 Feb (Thursday).

Study for mid-year exam Chapters 4-8 as well as scientific method and safety.

Continue working on the BLMs on the moodle site.
Remember to study for midterm exam (all sections covered to date).

Work on the BLMs found on the Moodle site (BLM 3-17, 3-19 and 3-20).

Write a Sun Peaks inspired motion problem and provide the corresponding solved equation(s).
For those of you who did not attend Sun Peaks, another motion-related scenario from your own experience is also acceptable.
Your problem must refer to both velocity and acceleration and must need to calculate both.
Show all equations and remember to include units as well as direction (since velocity and acceleration are vectors).

Read section 8.1 in the text and review notes on Moodle site. Complete Part 1 of Activity 8-1D (p. 355) as practice.

Work on the practice questions in the text as a review for Wednesday’s test on Ch. 7.

Test for Ch 7 will be on 18 December.

Work on the half life questions on p. 311. Not for handing in. I will take similar questions and we will try them out next day (possibly in a quiz form). Read the Half Life notes and do the Half Life problems (BLM 2-46) on the moodle site. Key is provided.

Practice the Nuclear equations on p. 301, and be sure that you have read the textbook sections 7.1 and 7.2.
