Squid Lab Preparation:
Complete the Clam lab and bring to class next day.
Finish the Clam lab (2-1 and 2-2) and the Mollusks handout (1-4).
5 diagrams of clam anatomy are due.
Be sure you have read about arthropods and echinoderms (text and workbook).
Read ahead in the textbook and workbook on mollusks, echinoderms and arthropods. Be sure to try the concept check up questions in section “I” of the workbook and refer to the answers in the back of the book.
Study for test (see previous post). Be sure to utilize the workbook (section H) and the textbook (chapter 26 and 30-1), as well as the notes, diagrams, etc, that we have covered.
Be prepared to present on your mollusk. Be sure the poster is in class. Missing posters due to a group member’s absence will result in a mark of zero.
Complete the Earthworm lab questions. Question 9 (colouring) is recommended but will not be marked.
Test 21 and 22 April on Phylum Porifera, Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes and Nematoda. Early development will also be covered.
Finish parasitic worms chart and assignment
Finish finding the scientific (Genus and species) names and Phyla of the list of tank animals. Complete the table on parasitic unsegmented worms and bring to class next day.
Finish labeling the planaria diagrams, answer flatworm and roundworm questions, and read the notes page given today on early development. Read accompanying textbook/workbook sections.
