Electricity test next class, 8 June for 1-4 and 11 June for 2-3. Bring a pencil, eraser, and a CALCULATOR! Cell phones and other devices are not permitted.

Final exam will be on 14 June (Thursday) for 1-4 and and 19 June (Tuesday) for 2-3. Please study your notes and workbook. The exam will cover all sections we have studied since September: Biology, Chemistry, Electricity, Safety, Scientific method (Chapters 1-9).

You are permitted one 8.5″ X 11″ notes page, single sided. It must be hand-written by you, not photocopied or printed.
A calculator is recommended for the final exam.

Complete the practice test handed out in class at home. Check your answers HERE. This is not for handing in.

Please use p. 337-339 textbook (q. 2, 5-10, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, 23, 24, 29, 32, 34, 35, 37, 43, 47, 49 and concept map p. 336) to complete the review given in class, including the concept map. Due at the start of next period. Unit test on electricity will be on 8 June, so be sure to review.

Be sure you have completed and handed in p. 330 q. 2, 4-7, 9, 11, 13.

Assigned before Experience Week: p. 57-58 in workbook, and reading of 2.1 and 2.2 in textbook. Be sure you have done these.

New assignment: Finish the Bohr diagrams on the sheets provided. Read section 2.3 in textbook.

Please complete pages 55-56 in the workbook, and the handout given in class (the atom). Read sections 2.1 and 2.2 in the textbook.

Mid-year exam: You will write the mid-year exam (reproduction, safety, scientific method; chapters 4-6 and section 1.1 in text) on 25 and 26 January, depending on the block.

You are allowed an optional, one-page, single-sided notes page to bring with you to the exam. It must be 8.5″ X 11″ or smaller, hand-written, not machine printed or photocopied.

Lists the term, gives a definition, indicates whether the property is a qualitative or quantitative one, includes a diagram and gives an example. See p. 22 in the textbook for more information on describing matter.
