Please read 9.1 in text (p. 180 – 189) and finish mitosis graph/questions.

Finish the mitosis handout and hand in at the start of next class.

Finish the microscopy lab (letter “e”), including all calculations and lab questions. Study for the test.

Study for test on 15/16 October (see earlier blog post). Finish the paragraph from p. 171 in text: Read “A useful poison” and explain how this “poison” works/affects the cell, and its role as a drug (medicine).

Study for test 15/16 October: chapter 5 (cell), chapter 8 (cell cycle/mitosis), microscope section of chapter 2, appendix C (p. 10-11 in back of textbook), and microscopy calculations.

Finish the microscopy calculations and check the answer key. There will be a mini quiz on microscopy calculations next class, 5 October.

Finish the chart of cell structures, and attempt the crossword puzzle on the reverse. Answer key will be on the blog this weekend.

Answer the questions “do plant cells have lysosomes?,” and read this. Write a short response to the question.
