Finish reading chapter 14. Work on the evolution handouts given in class. Blocks 1-2 and 1-3, complete A-C on the evidence for evolution handout. Blocks 2-1 and 2-3, complete A-E, the Geological Time Scale exercises and crossword.

Evolution test chapters 13 and 14 will be on 3/4 December.

Finish 13-1, 13-2, and 13-3 reviews from the textbook and hand in on 21/22 Nov. Read p. 290-303 (chapter 14 sections 14-1 to 14-3). Do the Evolution handout sections A, B, and C.

Finish all taxonomy/classification problems and practice worksheets.

Study for the Ch. 15 test (19/20 November). Use the text and workbook.

Continue the reading of chapter 13, up to p. 289.

Log in to MyEd portal to view your marks. Please let parent/guardian know that marks are there for you and them to view. Late work should be handed in immediately (Friday or Monday) in order to be considered for credit, and to be included in Term 1 marks if eligible.

Chapter 15 reading should be complete by now. Finish the dichotomous and other classification practice problems given in class.

Optional workbook: Read unit B (Taxonomy) on p. 6-10 and do the practice questions as review for the test.

Classification test will be on 19/20 November, depending on the block.

Read chapter 13 pages 266-278 (evolution) before next class. Optional workbook: Read and study Unit C (Evolution) and work on the practice problems.

Be sure you have read all the Drosophila melanogaster articles and handouts. Complete the Drosophila lifecycle on the chart provided. After you receive the Taxonomy/Classification notes (7/8 November), you should be able to complete the reverse (front) side of the chart.

Complete the Taxonomy matching and charts, as well as the reverse side. Use the notes and the textbook (ch. 15) to do this. Also, follow the instructions for the salamander dichotomous key and complete it, as well as the primates dichotomous key on the reverse.

Be sure you have completed both the mitosis and meiosis reviews (cut, paste, events).

Read all 4 readings on Drosophila melanogaster (fruit fly) and answer the questions provided on the handout.
