Finish the Punnett Square assignment and study for the geological time mini test (Monday).

Mini Test on Geological Time, relative and absolute age, etc, will be next class, Monday.
Study the handouts and practice problems that we have done recently. These include half life, the rock layers questions, the silt accumulation problems (Lake Okanagan) and the radioactive decay curve handout.

Review and practice the concepts we have been covering in the Geological Timescale and Absolute/Relative Dating unit. You should be ready for a possible quiz or mini test on these concepts.

Finish the rock strata handout and use the Close reading strategy to read and understand the article handed out in class today (“Rare gem may hold earliest signs of life”).
Be prepared for the possibility of a small quiz on some of these recent topics (geological time, absolute and relative dating, etc).

There may be a quiz on absolute and relative dating, and some of the recent topics we have covered.
