Finish the homeostasis lab. Each person must have a complete lab to hand in at the start of next class. Complete the homeostasis worksheet and hand in at the start of next class. Complete the reading of chapter 1, using the outline handed out in class. You may also refer to the online resource (see earlier blog post) for the 14th edition of our text, where you will find the chapter outline and many other useful resources.

Re-read p. 209-212 (homeostasis, section 11.5) and write 2 – 3 paragraphs explaining the roles of tissue fluid, blood, and body systems (transport systems, maintenance systems, support systems, and control systems) in the maintenance of homeostasis. Be sure it is neatly written on lined paper, double spaced. You may also type and print the assignment. Please include a reference to the textbook.

 

 

Complete the Case Study summary questions (scientific method/giraffe) and hand in assignment at the start of next class. Complete the scientific method/experimental design worksheet and bring to class. Finish up to page 5 (numbered 9 at the bottom of the page) in the science review package.

Read p. 4-25 in the text (chapter 1), paying special attention to safety and scientific method.
