Safety/Scientific method quiz will be on 1/2 October (depending on the block). Please prepare and study for the quiz by completing all safety handouts (3 most recent handouts), review completed assignments and complete the scientific method handout/crossword.

Complete both sides of the cell handout/chart. Be sure you have done the assigned reading (chapters 1 and 2, and begin chapter 5 reading).

Be sure science review package has been turned in.

Remember to bring $15 if you wish to purchase the optional workbook.

Finish the 3 safety sheets handed out in class (not for handing in, but for preparing for the safety quiz coming up). Finish the science review package and hand in next class. Finish (or attempt to finish) the crossword (key will be provided next class). If you have time and have done reading of chapters 1 and 3, begin reading chapter 2 (use outline given in class). Be sure you know cell structure and function, as well as endosymbiotic and autogenic hypotheses (from little mito and chapter 3).

Read chapter 2 (p. 26 – 41).

Complete the front side of the cell structure sheet. Watch the video again if needed.

Continue working on the crossword. Complete the three safety worksheets handed out today.

Complete any previously assigned reading/work that you haven’t completed yet.

Complete “Little Mito” case study and answer all questions (back of sheet). We will discuss the questions and I may collect them. Finish the science review package and hand in Wednesday, 19 Sep. Read chapter 3 and fill in the blanks on the chapter outline provided. Continue to work on the scientific method crossword, and complete the matching questions on the back.

Read chapter 2 (p. 26 – 41).

Finish the last page of the science review package. Read all of chapter 1 (p. 4-25), paying attention especially to safety and scientific method. Read spongebob lab safety story and complete both sides. Complete chapter outline by referring to this resource.

Complete the scientific method/experimental design worksheet and bring to class. Finish up to page 5 (numbered 9 at the bottom of the page) in the science review package.

Read p. 4-25 in the text (chapter 1), paying special attention to safety and scientific method.
