Complete the planet atmosphere graph and the atmospheric pressure questions from the handout given in class.
Biology 11 2-1 and 2-2 Martin 5 April 2016
Finish finding the scientific (Genus and species) names and Phyla of the list of tank animals. Complete the table on parasitic unsegmented worms and bring to class next day.
Biology 11 2-1 and 2-2 1 April 2016
Finish labeling the planaria diagrams, answer flatworm and roundworm questions, and read the notes page given today on early development. Read accompanying textbook/workbook sections.
We will continue on with unsegmented worms next day. Remember to watch the “Atlantic deep coral” video using the link in last day’s blog post.
Biology 12 1-2 31 March 2016
Work on the circulatory system review package and reading (text and workbook).
Complete lab and hand in next class.
Mini Science 10 1-3 31 March 2016
Following today’s presentations on severe weather, research/study the atmospheric factors and/or conditions that influence weather. These include air pressure, temperature, humidity, winds, air masses, Earth’s rotation, etc.
Focus on asking yourself what atmospheric factors influence weather, and how.
Be sure you have completed the reading of chapter 10.
Science 10 1-1 Martin 31 March 2016 and 2-3 1 April 2016
Severe weather event – Research the severe weather event you chose and do a 1-2 minute presentation next class.
Find the date, location, “name” of the event (if applicable) and type of event; explain the effect on the environment/communities, etc; explain the CAUSE(S) of this type of weather event (ie. what is happening in the atmosphere, oceans, etc, to bring about this type of severe weather event?)
Prepare a poster presentation of the above information. Be sure everyone in the group takes an equal part in the presentation. Include reference and group member names on the BACK of the poster paper.
Be sure you have read all of chapter 10 and completed all of chapter 10 workbook sections (assigned earlier).
Biology 11 Martin 30 and 31 March 2016
Read the textbook (chapter 26) and workbook sections on Phylum Platyhelminthes and record your own set of notes based on the “big ideas” we focused on with previous Phyla we have studied. See the chart(s) that I handed out to you and that you used to organize the information on previously studied groups.
Be sure that all the immune system handouts are now complete and that you have finished the reading of chapter 45 and the introduction of chapter 44.

Biology 12 1-2 29 March 2016
Work on the heart/circulatory system handout and other reviews/reading.
Be sure you have reviewed the anatomy of the heart in preparation for the lab (either Thursday or Monday).
Science 10 2-3 30 March 2016
Review 10.2 in text and bring the “severe weather event” information that you researched to the next class. We will be using that information in class.
Science 10 1-1 29 March 2016
Finish the graph portion only of activity 10-2A.
Go over the questions in activity 10-2A and be able to answer them (not for handing in).
