Finish workbook section 4 by the test day:  Monday, 5 March for section 1-4 and Tuesday, 6 March for section 2-2.

Finish Chapter 4 Review in textbook.

Ch 4 test Monday, 4 March for section 1-4 and Tuesday 5 March for section 2-2. 

Finish Ch4 in workbook.

Finish Section 4 in workbook, and read section 5.1 in textbook.

Read section 4.2 and do “Check your Understanding” on p. 145.  Also, continue working on 4.1 and 4.2 in the workbook.

Finish questions on p. 130 and 132.

List the steps in the making of a protein (see diagram in textbook p. 131) – in your own words!

Read section 4.1 in textbook and do questions on p. 130 and 132.

Finish diagram of cells:  1 animal cell and 1 plant cell.

Label all cell organelles (see p. 122-123 in textbook) and colour the cell.  On a separate sheet, list all organelles and give their function(s).

Study for test (ch. 8 and 9).

Test on Chapters 8 and 9 on Thursday 14 February for period 1-4 and  Friday 15 February for period 2-2.

Make sure that workbook sections 8 and 9 are complete.  Work on p. 330-331 in textbook and hand in on the day of the test.

Science 9 Midterm 2013 Partners

Please refer to the attached document for the partners, times and location of the Science 9 Mid-Year Exam.

Please ensure that you have recorded the room number that you must report to, the time of your lab exam, and your partner’s first and last name.

Arrive at the exam location 10-15 minutes early.  Bring a pen, pencil, eraser, and calculator, in case you need them.

Ensure that you have photo ID for your exam.

The Science 9 Lab Exam covers all the sections we have studied this school year:  Chapters 1-3 and 7-9.

Study for the Mid-Year exam.  As we discussed, it covers chapters 1-3 and 7-9.  You may use the text, notes, workbook as well as the bcscience.com website for studying. 

Please complete the Mind-Map worksheet from class today.  Also, use the questions on p. 331 of textbook and also the practice questions (with answers) available on the Moodle site as review and practice for Ch. 9.
