Mitosis verses Meiosis
The best strategy is to make a venn diagram to show how both processes are linked to reproduction. This is a good source of data to make diagram http://www.yourgenome.org/facts/mitosis-versus-meiosis
With plants, the genetic material shifts from being diploid (two pairs or 2n) to haploid (half the ploidy and n). Why? To create a chance for diversity to occur. Meiosis is a process in which changes in genetic material can be shared. Mitosis is pretty much a copying process to insure that once a cell grows to a specific size and age, it can make two new duplicate copies. |

Remember the term “sessile”? If you are an organism that may be limited in movement, you need to come up with a strategy that will allow you to adapt.
