      2. background/bridge Information: lead the reader from your general hook to your topic with some more specific information
      3. Thesis statement: write a clear thesis with 3 points.

    1. Make sure you are prepared with your ONE question. You should know the answer – have examples, etc. – be able to explain what the questions means, AND have a plan on how you’re going to teach your peers your ideas.
    2. Fahim, Mary Joyce, and Jian Rey – make sure you check in with your groups because if you’re not prepared, it will mess up the whole activity.

    1. Descriptive paragraph – take the rough copy paragraph you wrote and write a 2nd draft, but  (1) make it longer – 125-150 words AND (2) make it better – more descriptive

    3. You will be peer editing the paragraph in class, SO YOU BETTER GET IT DONE!

  2. Notebook: Jrnl #4 – Rewarded for Effort
    1. p. 27-281st Draft – 3 paragraphs, double spaced. Your body paragraph should have 3 reasons with examples and transition words. This paragraph should be pretty good. Your intro and conclusion may not be great, but I want you to TRY to write them. We will be focusing on intros and conclusions, so you’ll have a chance to compare what you wrote and make it better.
