  1. Mary Paragraph – GOOD copy – typed, double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt Font – MLA format – MLA Format info
  2. Building Bridges” – Read, highlight, do Qs (embedded & at the end) #1-16, Character Grid & Character Web – One for Bebe & one for Mama Lil
  3. We’re almost done the Character  pkg, so shortly after Spring Break you will be having a unit test.  I would suggest you spend some time reviewing over the break. All narrative terms, character analysis, all readings in the package.

  2. Miss Representation” – movie viewing Qs
  3. Start to collect information – for your essay topic.  You will be writing the outline & 1st draft over spring break.

  2. Notebook – p. 33 – Unity & Coherence – Transitions – Watch the video for more help —> Using Transition Words
  3. Notebook – p. 34-35 – Mary Paragraph Draft #2Revise your first draft using the peer editing comments and the editing checklist.  Make sure that you use a variety of sentences – compound, complex, simple – that you use transitions to make your paragraph unified, and that you use correct punctuation. These are the aspects we will be editing next class: sentences, transitions, punctuation.

  3. On a separate piece of paper, start to make a list of the negative impact of gender roles/stereotypes on SOCIETY.  As in, how do gender roles/stereotypes cause harm to society – what is the harm. Start a list based on the articles.

Missing Marks Make Up Morning Wednesday 7:30am 

If you want to improve your mark, be here at 7:30am! This is your one chance to make up missed quizzes and tests and/or to hand in late writing assignments.  Be here at 7:30 am – DON’T BE LATE! Make sure you tell me in advance if you’re coming in to write a quiz or a test, so I have it ready.

  2. Interactive Notebook: Finish p. 28-29 – Topic Sentences practice exercises.  Read the instructions, look at the examples and try your best to complete the questions.
