  2. Good copy “First they came for…” poem – make sure you make it visually appealing so as to attract an audience. Consider fonts, colours, pics, shapes, etc. Name & block on the back.
  3. Historical Context handout – read/highlight

  2. Brainpop Civil Rights worksheet – write a paragraph response on the topic. You can say yes or no, but you MUST defend and explain your opinion.

  4. If you were absent, come on MONDAY to grab the sheets you didn’t get.

  1. When They Came for Me” – M. Niemoller
    1. Rough draft of your version of his quote/poem. You should have a minimum of 4 targets and try to use repetition and pattern, like in his quote, for emphasis and effect. Make sure you understand who the “They” is, what/who their targets would be and in what order (weakest–>strongest), and what their end goal is.

  2. Elie Wiesel Intro Sheet: Start reading through the info and taking notes. Will be collected on Tuesday.     2. Next page = p.1 at the bottom AND is the title page: My Values & Code of Conduct
    3. BACK of p. 1 = p.2 at the bottom AND skip it, leave it blank, we will be sticking a worksheet here
    4. Next page = p. 3 at the bottom AND is  BRAINSTORM VALUES – brainstorm a list (as many as possible) of YOUR personal values
      1. Now that we’ve discussed what values could be and what are should be for class, consider what you think are important personal values for yourself: your personal code of conduct
      2. Also brainstorm WHY for each of the values
