  2. On a separate piece of paper write responses to the following Qs – (1) Is it possible for 1 person (you) to create change/make an impact? (2) Could you?  Would you?  Have you?  (3) Is it/Why is it important?  Consider the poems as well as the previous writing unit with Ms. MacLellan.

  1. Pink Poetry Terms Sheets – Flashcards – Pt. II – #4-6
  2. Bio-poem – read the handout & fill in the chart on the back – the more ideas you brainstorm the better!
  3. Paragraph Response – What is Poetry?  Good copy response.  You need to have a hook, a clear topic sentence, and several supporting details that should come from the reading (PEE on it), and a concluding sentence. PEN. DOUBLE-SPACED.  I will be evaluating BOTH your ideas AND your writing skills.

  1. Fahrenheit 451 – Setting worksheet – on a separate piece of paper list out 10 descriptive words/phrases that help you understand setting (time, place, mood).  Then write a proper paragraph (topic sentence, pee, concluding sentence) explaining and discussing each word you choose:  How does it connect to setting?  Why did you choose it? How is it important?
  2. Fahrenheit 451 – Qs #6-11 – pgs 16-34 (keep reading ahead)
