  1. Lit Circle Role Sheet #2 – for “The Friday Everything Changed”
  2. Journal #2
    1. Format: In notebook, pen, labelled, double-spaced, 3+ paragraphs, min. 1 page (200+words)
    2. Topic: Discuss how your gender/sex impacts your identity
    3. Basic 3 paragraph structure: Intro – introduce the topic in general & end with your thesis statement. Body– Give your points & discuss them with personal examples & reasons. Conclusion – sum up & connect back to intro & leave the reader thinking.

  1. Add to your KWL – it will be collected after we finish watching the Elie & Oprah interview
  2. NIGHT – Read chp 1 & do all Qs for chp. 1
  3. Journal notebook – all of your journals need to go into a notebook – regular paper size, at least 80 pgs.
  4. Intro Journal – Reflecting on the activities and readings we’ve done, discuss the power of choice and how our choices can impact society.  Journals MUST be – in pen, double spaced, titled/labelled, a good discussion of the topic, min. 1 page (approx. 200 words), multi-paragraph-3+.  You are in gr. 11 and you should be able to write in a structured format even when it is opinion based or less formal writing.
