ENGLISH 9 – 1.3

HOMEWORK: Due Thurs

  1. Notebook:
    1. p. 24 – Journal #4 – Should students be rewarded for effort? Brainstorm reasons for both sides.  Pick one side. Choose your best 3 reasons why.
    2. p. 25 – Glue/Stick in Essay Outline sheet
  2. Next class – you will be adding to your group brainstorm paper & then we will DEBATE! BTW – Jaskaran said his side would EASILY beat the other side because his side is NATURALLY INTELLIGENT while the other team is just made up of some hard workers. So get your best ideas ready!

  2. Indian Education” – New reading pkg
    1. Read, highlight, do the questions. This is a harder story, so just try your best with the questions, and I will help you with them.
    2. Reading quiz – basic info – character, plot, setting, etc.

  1. NIGHT
    1. read & do Qs & chart for Chp. 5
    2. Quiz Chp. 1-3
    3. Audiobook Chapter 5 AND Chapter 6
  2. Journal #3 – commit suicide or be murdered.
  3. You will be going to the library (after the quiz). Ms. Walks will be giving you some info & you’ll have some time to work on your projects which are DUE next week!

    2. p. 21BLT Essay Sandwich Outline- write your outline on the sheet – Intro – Yes or No and basic intro to topic; Body – each paragraph is just your example in note form; Conclusion- sum up
