  2. Terrible Things” E. Bunting- read this very short story & try to connect it to the quotes, poems, & issues we’ve been discussing

Quote activity – read the quote your group was given, discuss/explain it, and answer the questions.  Try to connect the quote with what we’ve been discussing in class.  You will be sharing your ideas with your group and then with the whole class, so it’s important that you come to class with YOUR OWN ideas.

  3. Read p. 15-18
  4. Finish writing your individual “Word Choice” poems.  Use the list of ideas on the front of the worksheet and like I did for my poem, write a short poem then go back and choose 1-2 words per line and give an optional word for your reader.  We will be switching and sharing your poems next class.

  2. “A Dissident’s Diary” – project – start to prep and plan.  Read through each section & check off possible project topics you may want to do, note down any questions you have, start to brainstorm and look at your schedule for the next few weeks to start your planning.

  2. Novel Project progress check – I want to see that you have started to work on your projects. (that I assigned weeks ago) This means more than a few notes or some brainstorming.  I want to see sufficient progress so that I can guide you and so that I feel confident that you will be able to finish the project.  I may use your lack of progress as a part of an interim report home.
