HOMEWORK: Due Thurs

  1. TKAM – Worksheets – Character, Conflict & Theme – will be collected
  2. Cycle of Oppression worksheet- Rough copy – come up with an example and scenario that could apply to 1 stereotype (p. vs society) from the novel.  You can do this individually or in a group of 2.
  3. PROJECT – I’m going to give you extra time to finish… because I don’t want to have to collect incomplete or poorly done projects. BUT MONDAY, May 15th is the DEADLINE. NO LATES WILL BE ACCEPTED. See me if you have an issue.

  1. Review your flashcards/poetry terms for another quiz MON/TUES- (Re)Watch these videos to help you study —> Simile, Metaphor, Personification AND Poetic Devices explained & drawn AND Similes & Metaphors in Songs
  2. Poetry Duotang – p. 22 – Act 2.15 – #1-3; p. 23-24 – Act 2.16 – #1-6; p. 24-26 – Act 2.17
  3. Adverb Poem Worksheet – Fill in the worksheet and then use one of your ideas to write your own Adverb Poem (see p. 21) Will be collected.

ENGLISH 11 – 1.2.2.2

HOMEWORK: Due Tues/Wed

  1. NIGHT – Read chp 2 & DO Qs #6-8
  2. Journal #1Delusion – unlike before where I’d asked that you provide a good discussion that was at least a page long, with these journals I’d like you to get to the point in perhaps a paragraph.   Each journal should be at least or around 1/2 a page double spaced, in pen.  You will be discussing your ideas in small groups, so you need to ensure that you discuss the topic clearly & succinctly.

  2. Worksheets – Character, Conflict, Theme – FINISH will be collected on Thursday
  3. Project Check – You should be WELL on your way to finishing your project.  Bring what you have with you (physical or digital copy) for me to check.
  4. The Cycle of Oppression – con’t activity so bring your notes & start to consider examples to connect to the novel

HOMEWORK: Due Monday

  1. Fahrenheit 451QUIZ #2: will cover the end of Part 1 & the start of Part 2 AND read ahead into Part 3
  2. Worksheets – do (as much as possible) of Character 2: Character Connections – fill in the circles with character names & on a separate paper answer the questions.
  3. Project progress check!  I will be checking your progress on 4 of your Dissident Diary entries – 2 research entries – you should have MORE than just notes by now – 1 General & 1 Character entry.  Bring all of your rough work to class!

  3. Bring your journal books to class.
