  2. “Hangman” poem – read, circle vocab words, underline anything that sticks out, ! and strong reactions, ? anything that’s confusing AND write any comments & connections in the margin.  IT’S IMPORTANT that you do this first step because next class you will be doing more with the poem.
  3. Brainstorm & consider – What is an active citizen?
