  1. I Have a Dream” Q- Like MJK Jr. and many others, what would you be willing to stand up or fight for?
  2. Character Pkg Worksheets
    1. Creating Imagery – Choose a specific person, come up with 5 character traits for them, then write a simile or metaphor to describe each trait
    2. Metaphors – write 2 metaphors for each of the 6 ideas: ex. Happiness is… all the way to Courage is…. We will be having a METAPHOR SHOWDOWN! in class.
    3. Block 2.1 – Finding Metaphors – “Dreams” poem Qs AND Love-ly Lines

  2. Goals – read, reflect, reset and rewrite TYPE – 2 academic, 2 extra-curricular, 2 personal goals. Discuss your original goals and explain why you’ve chosen the new goals.
  3. IDENTITY PROJECT – you should be working on the good copy of each of your 5 assignments

  1. Canadian Military Postcard – introduce yourself and then write your message to one of our Canadian soldiers
  2. War Consequences Journal – With reference to the 5 readings we studied, discuss the lesser known consequences/impacts of war/conflict. This should be a formal response: Intro (with thesis), body (with 2-3 points which will be the consequences and supporting details which will be direct references to the readings as proof of the consequence), Conclusion. Typed, double spaced, titled, MLA format. 
  3. Lit Circle project -due Feb. 25/26th!!
