  4. Terms Quiz Tues/Wed- All poetry terms we’ve done so far – Simile, Metaphor, Personification, Symbol, Assonance, Consonance, Alliteration, Rhyme, Rhythm, etc.
  5. Notebook check – make sure your notebook is complete: Table of Contents, title page, page numbers, pages titled/labelled, all sheets complete.

  1. See previous post & watch videos on Amanda Todd, Malala Yousefzai, and Trayvon Martin.
  2. Pick 1 of the 3 people to write about. Take notes on the FACTS of each story.
  3. Write a rough draft letter like R. Schindler’s. You must include the techniqes/elements she used: facts, fright, repetition, irony, climax, word choice – see intro pages in text p. 309-315 It should be double spaced & 250-350 words.
  4. You MUST have your rough draft in class. You will be editing and working on it. I will be checking all rough drafts in class.
