Block 1.2 Thurs April 19th
Block 2.1, 2.2 Friday April 20th
Please remember: there will be a “layering” question.
In the Density Mystery experiment you did (p 266 and 267) you had to predict, and then measure, the density of 9 items. Layering them meant putting the item most dense, at the bottom, the least dense, to the top. Watch the youtube video to help you out with the concept of Density!!!
Monday April 23rd, group 1.1 presents. Feedback given, more group time for your projects and/or Planet Earth Video (we can vote/assess after the presentation)
Wed April 25th –> Quiz on 1.1, then presentations from 1.2 and 2.1
Oops… April 27th is a pro-D and we lose the Day 1.
Everything on and after April 27th changes to the following dates:
May 1st –> Quiz on 1.2 and 2.1, then presentations from 2.2 and 2.3
May 3rd –> Quiz on 2.2 and 2.3, then presentations on 3.1 and 3.2
May 7th –> Quiz on 3.1 and 3.2 then a presentation on 3.3
May 9th (CP Day) –> quiz on 3.3 and then Unit 1 Review
May 11th –> Unit 1 Exam, including chapters 1, 2, and 3 (you can bring your handouts in for this exam, the handouts from the presentations, add to them in your own handwriting)
Reminder, presentation on one day, quiz on that presentation at the beginning of the next class.
Block 1.1 Friday April 13th
Block 2.4 Monday April 16th

“At age 19, residents of British Columbia are allowed to smoke or vape in certain public areas and cannot be refused medical treatment under any circumstances.”
1.) Construct a paper discussing this age limit, and the difference between smoking and vaping, and their effects on the human body.
2.) Then conclude your paper with your opinion on whether the medical system, being publicly funded, should pay for a lifetime of smoking and their related debilitating illnesses. We’re looking for a good argument here, and your final verdict.
