DT Odyssey Info Night

The students have settled into their new courses and we are ready to share information with our incoming grade 7s!

DT Odyssey Info night is at 6 PM on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, in the DT auditorium.  Enter through the school’s main entrance to access the auditorium.  Odyssey students from grades 8 to 12 will be available to answer questions and share their experiences with everyone.  The program coordinators will share information on application procedures and answer questions

Summer Break is Here!

Yay! The sun is shining and we are enjoying the summer weather already!

Congratulations to all the 2024 grads! Cheers to all our students for finishing off another school year. We wish everyone an amazing summer break!  Don’t forget to check out the June 2024 newsletter and the Grad 2024 Edition newsletter for a good summer read!

Canada Wide Science Fair 2024 Success!

Congratulations to all our DT’s Dewey Liang, Justin Peng, Tara Zhan and Viduni Siriwardana for their amazing results at the Canada Wide Science Fair 2024 held in Ottawa!  As always, there is a lot of strong contenders across our nation.  Check out the list of awards they were given!

So what has happened this month?

The weather is getting warmer and we are all counting down to having our spring break!  The staff and students crafted the March 2024 newsletter to share our achievements and activities that they did.  The students did way more than we can report so stay tuned for the next newsletter coming out April 2024.  Odyssey Newsletter – March 2024

The September 2024 grade 8 cohort has been finalized and we would like to wish everyone interested in our program to have an amazing grade 7 year at their elementary school!

 

Odyssey Program Update

Attention Grade 7 Odyssey applicants! First offers invitation will be sent out at 9 AM on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024.  Only 28 invites will be sent out for the first round.  If openings are not filled, second round offers will be sent out at 9 AM on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024.  Please check your inboxes (e.g., including junk and spam) on those dates.

Attention Science Enthusiasts!  16 science fair projects will be displayed and compete in this year’s Vancouver District Science Fair held at Langara College on March 1st.  Visit the VDSF website for more information! We are excited for them and cheering them on!

DT Odyssey Program – Assessment Test Information

Happy New Year 2024!  Wishing everyone a wonderful new year!

On Friday, January 12th, 2024, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, we are hosting the Odyssey Program Assessment Test for the grade 7 students.  Only students who have submitted their application packages by the December 2023 deadline will be invited to attend.  Please see the attached information sheet for info.

Autumn 2023 DT Odyssey Newsletter

October’s Parent and Student Information Night

Happy October! We hope all the students had a great start to their school year.

For all the grade 7 students and their parents that are looking for more information about the DT Odyssey Program, we kindly invite you to attend the information night on Wednesday, October 18th, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM in the school auditorium.  Please enter through the main entrance on 55th Avenue (not through all the other building doors) that leads directly to the auditorium.  

The information night will provide families with more insight into the program and an opportunity for families to interview currently enrolled students.   For students and parents that cannot make the evening information session, please view the DT Odyssey website for important dates, application procedures, program description, and contact information.
