 The DT Science Community Impact Award is sponsored by Dr. J. McEwen.

The prize is awarded to student(s) that have met the following criteria:

• • • • • demonstrated a journey of discovery and curiosity throughout the project,
        • developed an experimental apparatus and/or procedure which produced data to prove/disprove a hypothesis or question and a conclusion is apparent
        • demonstrated good use of the scientific method if applicable (e.g. repetition, controls, etc.)
        • in-depth background research was apparent
        • the project showed a positive impact on the community,
        • showed passion about science and continues to participate in the science community (e.g., at school)
