Di8 – Field Studies – Friday – UBC

Day Four of our field studies week.

We are going to meet at UBC at 9:30. No need to meet me at school. Just arrange with your group how best to meetup and get there. I’ll be at the UBC bus loop hiding from the rain.

We will have a quick look at the new buildings before we start the formal tour (originating at Brock Hall) at 10:15. It is supposed to rain so bring an umbrella!

Lunch will follow on campus with all the university students. Bring your own or buy there.

At 1pm we begin our “Extreme Adaptations” lecture with a UBC professor in the Beaty Museum. Very Cool. *note* because of the fragile exhibits, you may not have any food or drinks (even in your backpacks!)  You will be asked to leave your backpacks in a corner at the entrance.

Don’t bring your laptops.

The Beaty may have a short time to explore on your own, but we will dismiss at 2:30 from UBC. Travel home in groups!

Thanks for a great week!

Blog Post

Today, you have seen some life at UBC. Thinking of going here? Pretend you are a student at UBC. What are you studying? Where will you live? What cool things will you do each day?

Part two of your post is to pick a cool adaptation, include a picture and describe all about it.
