I am away visiting other technology schools with Mr Mcgeer and Mr Su with the hope of adding new ideas to our already awesome tech school.
For today, use the ray boxes, paper, pencils, mirrors and lenses to actually trace the path or a triple ray of light. Be sure to sketch the outline of the ray box, mirror and lens. Draw the 90 degree normal line and measure the angle of incidence if you can find a protractor…ms. Kauldher might have some?
- plane mirror
- convex mirror
- concave mirror
- convex lens
- concave lens
- prism
Check the side board as a guideline but each student should have their own that has been traced using the actual ray box and setup.
Bonus: do a combo ray trace using 3 different mirrors or lenses in a row with the same ray of light.
Finished? How about 5.1? 5.2?
