How to make a Magazine Cover
1. Google images a cool looking magazine cover of your choice.
2. Start a new file that is 8.5×11 inches in size. This is the shape of a magazine.
3. Paste in the large background feature image. Remember if you take the picture, it is better for your mark (original work)
4. When you add text with the ‘A’ tool, it automatically creates a new layer!
5. To add a large square or circle of colour under the text, first create a new layer, add the outline with the selection tool (rectangle, ellipse or free select), then bucketfill the colour you want into it.
By the end of your project, you should have 30-50 layers and a beautiful, professional magazine cover
** when you SAVE AS – don’t put .jpg on it. leave it as .xcf ** this will ensure you save the layers so you can work on it over several classes.
