Did you know that up to 200 people could live in one home like the one at the gardens?IMG_3169

What type of tree is this? Pink seed pods and white flowers…IMG_3175

Under our feet lay tiny plants that give off a refreshing mint scent when walked upon. IMG_3182  IMG_3185

Time to feed the koi! They call the koi with the vibrations of the gong!

Our last activity before leaving was to create dragon charms to carry with us on the water. We choose beads of wisdom, peace, luck and virtue.IMG_3190

Before we can get in the boats, we get a quick paddle and safety lesson.

The boys enjoyed being able to stand at the front of the train and watch our journey home along the tracks.

  2. Our Journey
On September 7, 2013 our class was planning to go to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden and Dragon Boating. We left the school at 9:00 o’clock when we started walking to the garden we were freezing cold. We past allot of really nice structures and buildings too. When we got to the garden we were talking about the garden and how over 200 people could live inside. We also learned how the garden was made. Did you know that the pieces were sent from china and are mad by like connecting Lego Pieces? We went to see how thy feed the koi fish and then they took us to this room that and we talked about dragon boating we made lucky charms and then we went on with our trip. We went to falls creek and we talked about safety. We got paddles and life jackets and started paddling. It was a nice experience. We went really close to my house we had two or three races and then it was over we were turning back. When we got off the boat we headed to the sky train our class was fighting over how gets to go in the front of the train so our teacher decided to take turns with how goes were. When we got back to school we were all exhausted. And that is our Journey.
