On Dec. 3rd the grade 8 mini class went on a field trip to Macdonald Dettwiler and Associates also known as MDA. I thought it was great how they made presentations and showed pictures of what they do instead of just talking about everything. I especially liked the presentation on the unmanned vehicles. It was very informative and very interesting. It was a great experience.

Chrome OS Notebook
Applied to pilot Chrome OS notebook from Google. I have my fingers crossed and hope Google accepts my application for 32 notebooks.
The notebooks would be used on a daily basis for students to learn technology in addition to supporting their learning needs.
I love learning and being an early adopter of technology as it helps you stay on top of the game, but being a pilot for this pilot project would actually put you in the game. As well, you can have a direct voice in terms of giving feedback and making changes to create a better product for the end user.
Holiday Madness Banners by Web Students
I love showcasing my students’ work. Here are some of the web banners that were featured on our school website’s frontpage to advertise our Holiday Madness Celebration to kick off the end the year.

Away this morning as you may suspect.
Things to do:
1. Hand in your composites, if you haven’t already.
2. Finish your ICBC Ad and 200 word creative notes.

Hand all assignments in to the Handin folder on the S:/ drive.

Post-production work is a very important skill to master. It can be the difference between an amateur from a professional.
Every photo is unique and every photo has the potential for different variation for its final product.
1. Import photos to Lightroom from the S:/ drive under Joker Classic. There should be 2000+ pictures.
2. Choose 10 photos that you fancy, but don’t limit yourself.
3. Create a quick collection. (Press B)
4. To toggle between views. G for grid, E for loupe, D for develop.
5. Generate a workflow in Develop Module.
6. Start with the White Balance, that is the single most drastic change. Then, tweek the Exposure and adjustment sliders.

MDA field trip
On December the 3rd the entire mini class went to MDA on a field trip. There we learned about the latest technology on military service, video games, geography, and satellite services. There were three presentations in total: unman machine, satellite, and radarsat I and II. They are all very interesting and I have learned a lot about each one of them. The technology that they have developed has helped human kind in many ways, for example, it’s easier to find earth resources by using a satellite to look in the sky. It’s a fun field trip and I enjoyed it very much.
MDA Field Trip
On December 3rd my class went on a field trip to the MDA which stands for MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates. We were there to see presentations about unmanned vehicles, satellites, and radarsat. Each of them have something in coming to for defense. Detecting predators/enemies, search and rescue parties. Unmanned vehicles, give more safety, the jobs that are to dangerous for us make it no hassle. Satellites detecting territory knowledge and detecting mysterious satellites and ships. The radarstat keeps up with the defense and the growth with the underground heat with the industrial settings. The most funniest thing that happened during the presentation was the last one when Annnalisa popped out of the door and said she was lost. Funny moments, after that the presentation was worth while.
Trip to MDA
On Friday, December 3rd my class and I went to MDA. It is a company in Richmond that forms ideas and make satellites. They do this so we can improve and understand the world a lot better. They invented RADARSET-1, RADARSET-2, and RCM. They talked about how they set it off into space and how RADARSET-2 can see through clouds to see what is happening on land.
I learned a lot about space and the creations they have made. Besides from learning interesting facts, we also got donuts and drinks along with a booklet and a name tag. I felt very welcome and included during this wonderful field trip.
MDA
On December the 3rd we went to the MDA. It is the company which helps countries with problems, we talked about Civil security, Military missions, GSI services markets, Unmanned machines, Satellites, and outer space missions and I enjoyed asking questions.
It was a good field trip, they even gave us gifts, like a booklet with a pen and there pin, a bunch of other information filled papers and a identity card.
