Ronald Deibert (born 1964)

Ronald Deibert is a world-renowned professor of political science. He is the Director of the Citizen Lab, Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto. He was a co-founder of the OpenNet Initiative and Information Warfare Monitor projects. He has served on the editorial boards of several prominent academic journals. In 2013, Deibert was appointed to the Order of Ontario and awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal, for being “among the first to recognize and take measures to mitigate growing threats to communications rights, openness and security worldwide.”

Annie Liu (born 1981)

Born in Taiwan, Annie Liu came to Vancouver at a young age. After graduating from high school, she studied industrial design at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She began her acting career in Hong Kong, in 2005, and has appeared in leading roles in numerous films and TV series.

Austin Wang (born 1998)

In 2016, Austin Wang was awarded the top prize ($75,000) at the 2016 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona. he devised a way to improve the efficiency of microbial fuel cells by combining elements of microbiology and chemical engineering. While in Grade 10, Wang was among winners of an international piano competition.
