Sir John Franklin

Named for the street which was named for Sir John Franklin (1786 – 1847), an English Arctic explorer who disappeared while leading an expedition attempting to chart the Northwest Passage in what became the Canadian Arctic.

Originally called Block 44 School and renamed in September 1913.
