Named for Sir Issac Brock (1769-1812), British Major-General and hero of the War of 1812.

Originally built in the Municipality of South Vancouver. Also know as West Vancouver, Westminster Avenue (May 1906), and Mountain View (1908). Moved to a new site in November 1907 and renamed Brock school in 1911.
