DAILY SCHEDULE:  WHAT AN AVERAGE DAY LOOKS LIKE IN OUR CLASSROOM

8:55 – ARRIVAL: Students should be in their class line-up area at this time.

9:00 TO 9:05 – MORNING ROUTINE: Attendance is taken while students put away their personal belongings and change into their “inside” shoes.

9:05 TO 10:30 – CURRICULUM

10:30 TO 10:50 – RECESS BREAK – STUDENTS EAT THEIR SNACKS OUTSIDE, RAIN OR SHINE

• While teachers are on their breaks, Supervision Aides are outside to help students with conflict resolutions or if they get hurt; please encourage your child to seek help with our lovely Supervision Aides.

10:50 TO 10:55 – RETURN FROM BREAK:  Students put away their jackets and change into their “inside” shoes.

10:55 TO 12:10 – CURRICULUM

12:10 TO 12:55 – LUNCH TIME FROM 12:10 TO 12:25 (SUPERVISED BY SENIOR STUDENT LUNCH MONITORS) AND PLAY BREAK OUTSIDE FROM 12:25 TO 12:55

12:55 TO 1:00 – RETURN FROM BREAK: Attendance is taken while students put away their personal belongings and change into their “inside” shoes.

1:00 TO 2:50 – CURRICULUM

2:50 TO 3:00 – CLASS JOBS AND DISMISSAL ROUTINE

• Students complete their assigned class jobs (e.g. recycling monitors, agenda agents, clean-up crew, etc.).
• Students change into their “outside” shoes and get their personal items in preparation for home time.
• Students will be dismissed from our line-up area.

NOTE:  YOUR CHILD WILL WAIT IN THE OFFICE SHOULD YOU BE LATE FOR PICK UP DURING DISMISSAL TIME.

EXTRA NOTES ABOUT OUR WEEKLY SCHEDULE

GYM:  TBA 
– students must wear running shoes in the Gym
– please choose runners that your child can wear independently for his/her Inside Shoes
NOTE:  Do NOT send shoes with laces if your child cannot successfully tie them on his/her own!

MUSIC:  Monday (immediately after Lunch Break) and Thursday (before Recess Break)

LIBRARY/BOOK EXCHANGE:  Tuesday
– please contact our Teacher Librarian, Ms. Maia Robinson, if you have questions about library books or her literacy program
