Welcome to the study of our home, planet Earth. In our quest for understanding we will look to Earth’s birth, its interior, its atmosphere and the heavens beyond. We will begin by looking at images of our planet then rocket outwards to space and investigate theories about its origin. We will look inwards to its centre and then outwards to its ever changing surface.
As we learn together, remember to: set realistic goals for yourself, use an active approach to studying, filter what you know from what you don’t know, be honest about your effort and knowledge, attend each class and do the best you can on any given day.
Hopefully understanding how Earth has changed in the past will help us to understand how it may change in the future.
