In recognition of the importance and necessity to provide opportunities for students to engage in athletics and sports activities, the district and VSSAA is tentatively looking at moving to a RETURN TO SPORT-STAGE 2 pending final approval from VSB. At this time, all VSSAA sports are limited to STAGE 2 Return to Sport status. Permitted activities would include in-school activities only (sport-specific training, in-school competition); activities that involve engaging other schools are not permitted as part of Stage 2. All participants will be required to follow the district health and safety protocols.

A link to an online sign-up will be communicated to JO students in the coming days. Students NOT interested in participating do NOT need to complete the sign up. Students who are interested in participating are asked to use the link in order to sign up for the sport of your choice and will have until October 7 to submit their response.

Sports that will be offered will be determined based on the student sign up and the availability of staff volunteering as coaches (at this point with Stage 2 our valued Community Coaches unfortunately cannot be involved).
