April 2025 | AMS Student Nest, UBC Vancouver
VDSF finalists advance to the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, one of thirteen regional fairs in BC/Yukon. GVRSF is a three-day event and participants include public, independent, and home-schooled students from Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Moody, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Gibsons/Sechelt, Powell River, and Squamish/Whistler.
May 31 – June 7, 2025 | Fredricton, NB
Grand prize winners at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair continue on to the Canada-Wide Science Fair, the largest annual STEM event for youth in the country. Established by Youth Science Canada in 1962, CWSF is a weeklong event that brings together top finalists from over 100 regional fairs in the country. In addition to judging sessions and public exhibitions, these students also attend scientific, cultural, and social activities. Awards range from medals, cash prizes, scholarships, and invitations to overseas competitions.
