About our collaborative inquiry

As Teacher-Librarians, we are in a unique position in our schools. We
are curriculum specialists and we teach every grade, from K-7. We started this collaborative inquiry in the 2017-2018 school year to inquire, “How can Teacher-Librarians support student learning and authentic Indigenous learning from the redesigned Indigenous curriculum?”

During this inquiry, we shared resources and ideas, and discussed how we can foster increased awareness, respect and appreciation for Indigenous cultures, histories and contributions.
