Due on the first day back F2F on October 19:

• Geolab and other worksheets that were assigned but not officially due or turned in on Teams during Remote Learning
• Geography Vocabulary List handout
• Treasure Map Project:  completed rough draft

Latitude and Longitude Africa Map due:  October 8

Geolab 14 due:  October 9

Work through the Geolab booklet as much as you can as well as the other handouts…they will be due either next week or when I see you back F2F.

The Treasure Map is for you to start on.  I would start by drawing your map and have a good idea and plan for your treasure hunt route.

If you do not understand any of the geography concepts (such as scale, the 6 figure grid system or latitude/longitude…)  I would hold off on adding the concepts onto the map until you either ask for help or when we are back to F2F on the 19th.

Students received Geography handouts and booklets that they will need for the Remote Learning Unit.  If you do not have the handouts they will be available on Teams or even on Moodle.

First week or so will be for Geolab booklets, handouts and Vocabulary.  This should set the basis for the Treasure Map Project.  The Treasure Map Project will show me if you understand the geography concepts and skills.  It will be due during the first week back:  October 19 to 22nd.  You do not need to have the project finished by the 19th, but rather should have most of it completed and ready for checking in with the teacher.

• Make sure you are ready to present.  Please rehearse your presentation.  If you need a device please either bring your own or you may use mine…but please have it backed up in multiple places (USB, email presentation to yourself as well as me…).

If you are working ahead:  Start on your Geolab booklets and Geography Vocabulary booklet

• Test on Chapters 7, 8, 9 on Friday Oct 2nd

• 15 topic sentences for the 15 test questions due Sept 29
• Explorer Activity due Sept 29…be ready to talk about your explorer in class!

• Chapter notes on your chosen chapter due Sept 30
• Presentation of your answer to your question on Sept 30

Jumbled up notes on:  Women in the Late Middle Ages (available on Moodle)

• due tomorrow, September 23

Notes on III.  Trade and Town (available on Moodle)

• due by September 24

Chapter notes on your favourite chapter (7, 8 or 9)

• Due September 30

Read “Trade and Towns” pages 149-155 of Chapter 5 booklet.

Highlight or underline the main idea for each paragraph.

We will look at taking linear notes tomorrow.
