This school year we are moving to a Quarter System. There will be 4 quarters. In each quarter, students will focus on two courses for 10 weeks. This will allow students to focus on only two subjects at a time.
Each course will alternate between Face to Face in class interaction as well as Remote learning from home.
When your class is on the Remote Learning rotation it is imperative for each student to stay up to date with the course. The course will continue online, therefore, students must have access to technology to allow for this. If students do not have the technology available to them, they must notify the teacher or counsellor as soon as possible.
For courses this year, students:
Friday, June 12th is the last day for students to turn in any late online assignments for Term 3!
There are no Final Exams this year!
Term ends on June 19th so the last day to turn in any assignment on Teams will be June 12th.
There is summer school online this year for only grades 10 – 12: https://summer.vsb.bc.ca/Pages/default.aspx
Letter sent out to parents today: Outgoing Letter to Parents
Please remember the return to school is VOLUNTARY and not mandatory. The class will be a tutorial of approximately one hour to work on online assignments.
Your teachers emailed you regarding dates and times for your specific classes.
Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy in these unprecedented times…and yes it has been announced that schools will be open for students starting June 1st.
The classes are only about one hour in length and will be similar to a tutorial for students who need help with their online assignments only. If you do not attend, you continue on with the online assignments as per usual.
In order to manage how many people are in the building, you will be scheduled to come to my class on specific dates and times as emailed out today.
Do not attend a class you are not designated to go to…you will not be allowed in. There will be time scheduled later in June for textbook collection. So, please keep checking the district site, JO site, your emails and the HW blog for announcements as things progress.
If you are planning to attend, please be sure to bring any/all items that you will need including devices and textbooks. Supplies will not be available for students who forget items.
