September 23 2020 Zoom PAC Meeting Agenda

Principal Brent Schieman will be with us all (online) to welcome, go over school activities, answer questions! PAC Chair, Sheril Gelmon, will lead the meeting. Attending parent meetings is a great way to find out what’s going on in the school, supply/share ideas and input from your perspective, and model good citizenship and the importance of community + academics to your children!
Without parent help and our group of volunteers, JO would not have $40,000 a year to help with scholarships, music, drama, clubs, trips, special projects. We thank you for your support!

- Welcome – Introduction – Why We Meet
Approve of May 20, 2020 meetings minutes (please pre-read at https://blogs.vsb.bc.ca/jo-pac/) - Brent Schieman – Principal – update on school events, flow, welcome
- Balance of PAC accounts, update on how much received from the BC Lottery grant (about $20 per child), which programs may apply for these funds and how we as parents decide
- Fundraising – we can put some effort in, to help raise $ for programs school is not able to cover
- Helping out – we have some opportunities for volunteers! We thank some outgoing volunteers for their years of service. We would like a CO-SECRETARY, someone to keep up with the DISTRICT PAC and would love some others to help with ideas/fundraising/communications!
