DPAC back to school special meeting tonight, Jan 10th @ 7PM

DPAC is hosting a meeting tonight on short notice to gather questions from parents regarding school reopening. The meeting is open for all the parents.

Below is the message sent by the DPAC chair earlier today.

“PACs:

Since the province delayed the start of school, we’ve been receiving more emails with questions and concerns, especially given the current COVID situation.

We submitted a list of questions to the VSB and VCH early last week, inviting them to meet with parents before the start of school. In our subsequent conversations, we’ve learned that many details were still being finalized, and much planning work was still ongoing at both organizations. They are working to provide written answers to our questions ASAP but cannot commit to a Q&A session at such short notice.

VSB messaging from schools should include answers to some of the questions we’ve posted.

We’re hosting a Zoom meeting on Monday evening 7PM to hear from parents and PACs. We will have all the written answers to submitted questions that we’ve received so far organized for parents.

Please let your exec and parents know. I apologize for the short notice.

The meeting is an informal one, we’ll keep it open for two hours. It’s an opportunity for us to hear from parents and PACs about the start of school.

Do any of the answers provided need clarifications?

Did you see something on your first day back that prompted a new question?

How are parents at your school feeling?

Something else you’d like us to hear?

We’re here to listen. And if you can’t make the meeting, you can always email us at: media@vancouverdpac.org
