I use Apple TV all the time, especially when I am working at elementary schools.
whenever I turn on the Apple TV and project, prior or in between AirPlay, you get all the latest Movie Covers. This could be distracting and sometimes inappropriate.
To avoid this, go to settings > general > restrictions > set code > hide purchase & rentals.
Voila > no covers
