• scale of maps, types of scales, manipulating and calculating scale and distance
• symbols, identifying and using
• finding places…latitude & longitude, 4 figure grids, 6 figure grids
• contour lines, reading and understanding heights, spot heights
• directions, bearing…using bearings to locate places (protractor work!)
