Friday, February 23:  Vocab Week 3 Composition

We are continuing with reading and analysis/interpretation of poems.  You will have a site poem in-class assignment on Monday, February 26!  Review and go over the literary/poetic devices

Roses are red poetry contest!

• Everyone should have their own rendition of a poem…
• …format doesn’t matter as long as it starts with “Roses are red”
• The poem doesn’t need to be the traditional limerick and should be your own original poem.
• Have a copy of your poem typed out or neatly written out for Wednesday, February 14th

Reminder:

Be prepared for Week #1 Vocabulary Composition on Friday, February 9th!

We will dive right in with Reading Drills that will start right at the beginning of classes until about Spring Break.

The last day of the week will be for Vocabulary and Composition based on the vocab booklets.  Week 1 vocab this week!

This week will also be for assessment as well…you can’t really study for them…maybe brush up on what you learned in English 9?

In-Class Essay due:  Friday, June 16th

Reading Drills will be on the days you do not have FIT.
The sooner the class finishes the drills the sooner the class gets to work on their essays.

If you feel you may need extra time…you must attend FIT on Tuesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 15.

Essays will be due at the end of class on Friday, June 16th.
